The Canton Jura (838 km2 – 77,200 inhabitants) is the
youngest of 26 Swiss
Cantons (since 1976). It is located in the north-western part of Switzerland and consists of parts of Jura mountains in the south and Jura plateau in the north. It shares borders with France to the west and north,
Cantons Basel-Landschaft and Solothurn to the east and Canton Bern to the south. The capital city is Delemont.
