The Canton Schwyz (908 km² – 144,800 inhabitants) is one of the founding Cantons of Switzerland. It is located in central Switzerland between Alps in the south, Lake Lucerne in the east and Lake Zurich in the north. Schwyz shares borders with Cantons Zurich and St. Gallen to the north, Canton Glarus to the east, Canton Uri to the south and Cantons Nidwalden, Zug and Lucerne to the east. The capital city is Schwyz.
